Academic Advising

Academic Advising

We are here to help you. AAC staff are working remotely for Fall 2020 and are monitoring our emails and phone calls M-F 8am-4pm so that we can support BSU students. Please follow the instructions below to contact Advising staff.

The AAC Advisors work with all first-semester freshmen; all Undeclared students; SPED, ELED, and ECED majors for their whole first year; Education majors with no second major; Summit students; and FGPR students. The link below is for these students. If you are a returning student, you will need to see your faculty advisor or major department for registration questions.

Information on Fall 2020 Classes:

  • Most classes will be fully online for the Fall 2020 semester.
  • A list of classes that WILL have an in-person component in the Fall is available online here: Fall 2020 On-Campus Courses
  • Classes may be run as "asynchronous" or "synchronous" classes depending on the preference of the teacher.
    • Asynchronous - the class has no defined meeting time. You must complete assignments by their deadlines, but you are not required to be present at regularly scheduled times.
    • Synchronous - the class DOES have defined meeting times. You are expected to be present online at the times listed on your schedule. Your teacher will let you know how to be present (e.g. Zoom, BB Collaborate, MS Teams, etc.)
  • The Registrar's Office is in the process of updating the BSU online schedule to reflect changes to the Fall 2020 schedule.  Please check your schedule on Infobear regularly (including at the start of the semester) to review those updates.
