Applications and Guidelines
Applications ask you to indicate that you have completed BSU's IRB Training, and to submit the training certificate.  Training materials include short (approximately 10 minute) videos, Adobe Captivate
presentations (PowerPoint with interactive audio and visual content), and CITI training links.  They 
are intended to answer frequently asked questions and clarify each section of the applications.  (Please note: BSU's IRB training is valid for 2 years; CITI training is valid for 4 years.  Training certification will need to be renewed accordingly upon expiration.)

The training is required and strictly enforced. 
Please plan to complete the training and get into the habit of e-submitting the certificate with 
every application.

To complete IRB training:
1.  Log into BlackBoard
2.  Come back to this page and click this link to enroll yourself: 
3.  Click OK
4.  The IRB site will appear on your "My Courses" list.  You will be enrolled as a Student
5.  When you confirm that you have completed each module, the next module will appear.
6.  When you have completed all modules, the certificate link will appear.  Type in your name and date and
save the certificate for submission with your new IRB applications.

DISCLAIMER: If a PI is no longer employed at BSU, the IRB application is non-transferrable and will expire immediately. ​
