Banner

Banner is the enterprise computer information system that contains student, financial aid, finance, and human resources information here at BSU. Students can view their own information using Banner's Web Self Service tool, InfoBear.  Faculty can view details about courses they are teaching and students they are advising via the Web Self Service tool, Web for Faculty​.  BSU Employees who need access to Banner to perform their job responsibilities must complete the training below for the relevant access.

Banner Finance (111)

This course in an overview of the Banner Finance System and introduces the basic concepts of the system. This course takes you through the key forms used the Finance module. This class will demonstrate how to use the Banner Finance system to manage departmental budgets and will also give users an overview of the purchasing approval process. This class is required for all users of the Banner Finance System.  For more information on Banner Finance training, contact Angie Driscoll at angelea.driscoll@bridgew.edu.   

Banner Purchasing (113/114)

The first half of this session, Intro to Banner Purchasing I is a detailed presentation on the purchasing process using Banner Finance system. Building on the concepts learned in Banner 101 and Banner 110, this course takes you through the key forms of the purchasing module. This class is intended for support staff who will use the Banner Finance System regularly to requisition, order and receive purchases. Prerequisites: Banner 111.  

The second half of this session, Intro to Banner Purchasing II is a continuation of the concepts learned in Banner 113, with added focus on purchase orders and receiving. This class is intended for support staff who will use the Banner Finance system regularly to requisition, order and receive purchases. This class is intended as a follow-up for people who have already attended Banner 113. Banner Student (121)

The Intro to Banner Student I is an overview of some of the key forms used in the Banner student module. These forms are primarily General Person and General Student related forms. This class focuses primarily on looking up information in Banner. It does not detail how to enter or change data in Banner.
