 Meet the ISSS Staff

Jennifer Currie
Associate Director

Jennifer Currie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications from Simmons College in Boston and a Master of Education in Student Affairs Counseling from Bridgewater State University. Jen is the Associate Director for International Student and Scholar Services. Her responsibilities include all aspects of support for incoming international students from before arrival until graduation. Jen organizes programming such as orientation, off-campus trips and on-campus events​. Jen also serves as the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO).

Jen has traveled to Belize, Canada, England, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Spain. She would like to go to Australia, Ireland, Italy, Puerto Rico!

Justin Casey
Staff Assistant

Justin Casey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Education in Student Affairs Counseling from Bridgewater State University. Justin serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO). He advises international students and scholars on information necessary to maintaining their status. He also maintains the SEVIS database and generates immigration documents. He is the advisor to BSU's International Culture Club, an organization open to all BSU students. 

Justin has travelled to Iceland, Peru, Japan, Switzerland, Italy, France, England, Ireland, Canada and the Bahamas. He would like to travel anywhere and everywhere!

Kristen Morrison
Administrative Assistant


While earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Saint Michael’s College Kristen discovered her passion for working with International Students. Kristen serves as the primary administrative support for International Student and Scholar Services. She provides support with programming and organizes the departmental budget. She also assist the Associate Director in managing the International Scholar House and responds to student and scholar inquiries. 

Kristen grew up on the west coast (in Alaska) and the east coast (Cape Cod, Massachusetts). She studied abroad in Madrid, Spain for a semester and has traveled to Portugal and Italy. She would love to have the opportunity to return to Alaska someday and to travel to Asia, Europe, and South America.​

Olena Bychkovska
Graduate Assistant

Olena Bych​kovska got her bachelors degree in Philology from a Linguistic University in Kyiv, Ukraine. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at Bridgewater State University as an international student. Olena is the Graduate Assistant for International Student and Scholar Services. She is in charge of supporting daily operations of ISSS and serves as an International Orientation Leader. 

Olena, a native of Ukraine, has traveled to England, Spain, Germany and Poland. On her bucket list you can find: ride a bicycle in Amsterdam; eat pizza and gelato in Italy; go on a safari trip in South Africa; and snowboard in the Swiss Alps.

​​Julie Quiles
Student Assistant
Class of 2021
Julie Quiles is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education.​ Julie is a Student Assistant for International Student and Scholar Services and supports the daily operations of the office.

Julie, a native of Boston, has traveled to Belize, Honduras and Mexico. Julie would love to explore Italy someday and learn more about the culture since she is half Italian herself.

​Mary Zheng
Student Assistant
Class of 2021
Mary Zheng is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.​ Mary is a Student Assistant for International Student and Scholar Services and supports the daily operations of the office.

Mary, a native of the Boston area, has traveled to China. She would love to visit France for the architecture, language, and cuisine. Mary would also like to travel to Nepal for the beautiful​ views.
