Study Abroad

Study Tours

Travel Courses (formerly known as study tours) are faculty-led, short-term travel courses running for 1-3 weeks and are open to all BSU students, as well as non-BSU students and BSU community members as space permits.  Students should plan for class meetings and academic work before, during and after the scheduled travel dates to fulfill 3 BSU course credits. Students pay a program fee, which includes airfare, accommodation, meals (varies), program related activities and in-country transportation.  Primarily offered during the summer and winter sessions, each travel course focuses on a certain academic discipline with students earning 3 credits, and incorporates excursions and field trips to give students the opportunity to explore and learn about their host country.  Participants are required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be in good academic standing.
