The Teaching & Technology Center (TTC) supports faculty in the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning at Bridgewater State University. Training and support are available to assist faculty with educational technology in face-to-face, hybrid- and fully-online coursework. The TTC supports BSU's Blackboard learning management system and provides training opportunities, both in-person and online, for Blackboard and many other educational technology solutions.

Contact us by phone at 508.531.2634, email at, or stop by our office on the 2nd floor of the Moakley Center, Room 200, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  We have several lab computers (PC and Mac) and scanners available for faculty to use with TTC support on-hand to assist as needed.  Our two Teaching & Technology Faculty Fellows​ are also available for consultations by appointment.

In support of our mission, the TTC has 5 primary objectives:

  • Provide educational technology professional development and support for faculty teaching face-to-face, hybrid online, and fully online courses
  • Collaborate with regional partners on educational technology projects and professional development opportunities for faculty
  • Provide educational technology consultation services to faculty
  • Research and promote emergent educational technologies and related teaching practices
  • Administer the Blackboard Learning Management System, including the provision of related training and support to faculty

The TTC maintains a public list of educational technology Goals and Objectives for the current fiscal year.

Fully Supported Applications

The TTC provides full support on the following systems and applications:

  • ​Adobe Connect – web-conferencing system
  • Blackboard – learning management system
  • Microsoft Office 365 – online and desktop office suites for course content creation (i.e. PowerPoint slideshows, Word document syllabi, Excel grading spreadsheets)
  • Poll Everywhere - instant polling solution
