The Teaching & Technology Center initiated two faculty fellow positions for the 2016-2017 academic year; one available to full-time faculty and the other available to part-time faculty.  These roles provide consultation services, support, and professional development opportunities for faculty colleagues interested in using technology for teaching and learning.  Please reach out to the TTC at​ or 508.531.2634 to set up a consultation appointment with either of our fellows.
Kathleen Ferris-Costa

​Teaching & Technology Faculty Fellow - Dr. Kathleen Ferris-Costa

Our Teaching & Technology Faculty Fellow this academic year is Dr. Kathleen Ferris-Costa, an Assistant Professor in the Management Department.  She has over twenty years teaching experience with traditional, hybrid and 100% online courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Her program of research includes the use of technology in the classroom (special focus on social media), online learning, personal branding, thrift marketing and buzz marketing. For the past four years, Dr. Ferris-Costa has been the faculty advisor for the BSU American Marketing Association student chapter. ​

Teaching & Technology Faculty Advisor - Prof. Karen Zgoda

Karen Zgoda
Our Teaching & Technology Faculty Adviser this academic year is Karen Zgoda, a part-time faculty member in the School of Social Work.  She started hosting online social work chats in 2000 and is currently a collaborator and chat host for the #MacroSW Twitter chats focused on macro social work practice. Karen previously wrote the SW 2.0 technology column for The New Social Worker Magazine and served as an AmeriCorps *VISTA member and project coordinator at CTCNet working on digital divide issues. Her research and pedagogical interests include technology in social work and education, macro social work, social policy, and research methods.
