The technology classrooms are for instructional delivery using audio, video, and
computer technologies. The primary use of these
facilities is to meet the technology needs of faculty, students, and special
workshops for groups in a scheduled instructional environment.
Bridgewater State University has permanent
technology in all the classrooms on campus and six technology classrooms off
campus. Standard equipment for most rooms includes: a networked desktop
computer, laptop cable hookups, a ceiling-mounted LCD video/data projector, a
dvd unit, sound reinforcement, a document camera, and a projection screen. All
sources can be controlled with either a remote control or an Extron Control
Switch unit located on the teaching station. Closed captioning is available in
rooms with the control system.
If you are in the classroom, use the "tech help" button on the telephone. This line dials directly to the Help Desk for assistance.
If the Help Desk cannot assist you over the telephone, a staff member will come to the classroom to troubleshoot the issue.
IT Support Services provides technology support for faculty, staff and students. The department provides technical support in the computer labs, classrooms, technical support for faculty and administration offices, student technology workshops, notebook computing centers, call center operations, audiovisual equipment, and conference and events on campus.
