Want to use the teaching station computer?

Press ON button on the control panel. Allow time for projector to warm up.

The computer is located below. Manually turn the computer on/off with the power button. Log in using your BSU credentials. Press PC button on the control panel to project the computer image. If no image appears on the screen, press and hold the windows-7-logo-2009(windows) key while pressing the P key. Select Duplicate when prompted, the computer image will appear.
PIC MUTE: Press this button to change display to black screen. The button will flash for a short time when selected. Press the button again to restore the image.
AUTO IMAGE: Press this button to correct or align the image on the screen.

Want to connect your laptop to the projection system?

Cables are located on top of the teaching station. Internet, computer, and audio cables are available. Press laptop or HDMI button on the control panel, depending on cable used. If no image appears on the screen, press and hold the windows-7-logo-2009 (windows) key while pressing the P key. Select Duplicate when prompted, the computer image will appear.

Want to use the document camera and share to the projection system?

The document camera is located on the top of the teaching station. Manually turn document camera on. Press the document camera button on the control panel. To raise or lower the camera, use the handle on the camera’s stand. Focus and zoom controls are located on the top of the document camera. The document camera can display notes, articles, and objects.

Want to play a DVD to the class?

DVD player is located below. Manually turn DVD player on. Press DVD button on control panel. There are additional controls for DVD next to the control panel.
Optional DVD playback: Place DVD in computer DVD drive and software should automatically open. If software or DVD does not open, double click DVD Player on computer desktop. Press PC button on the control panel. Closed captioning may be turned on by pushing the CC button on the control panel.

Using audio?

Audio may be adjusted by turning the black volume knob on the control panel. The light will flash when volume is muted. Red lights indicate maximum volume.

Using StarBoard?

The Rite Pen application should load automatically and place a toolbar on the screen, and a small blue pen in the program tray in the lower right hand corner of the screen near the clock.  If it does not, the RitePen application will need to be started (START > Programs > Evernote > RitePen > RitePen). For normal computer operations at the Teaching Station, RitePen should be toggled off.  The RitePen can be toggled on/off, by clicking on the icon in the program tray.  If the RitePen is toggled on, all mouse actions at the teaching station will behave as if you are using the StarBoard pen. Start the StarBoard software by choosing Start > Programs > StarBoard Software > StarBoard Software. The StarBoard is ready to use. Please do not use permanent markers on the StarBoard.
