Want to use the computer?
The control panel is located on the top
of the teaching station. Touch the screen to activate and choose the appropriate
AV layout for control of the sources in the room.
The computer is located on top of the
Manually turn the computer on/off with the power button. Log in using your BSU
credentials. Press Cart Laptop button on the control panel to project the
computer image. If no image appears on the screen, press and hold the
(windows) key while pressing the P key.
Select Duplicate when prompted, the computer image will appear.
Audio Mute may be active when turning on
system. If audio needed, disable Audio Mute by pressing the button.
To power down the system press the
system off button on the control panel.
Want to control audio?
Mute: Located on the side of the control
panel, these buttons will blank the projected image(s), mute the sound
temporarily, or mute the microphone respectively. To restore, press the button again. Buttons
will blink blue while muted.
Control: The black knob on the bottom of the
control panel will control the audio level for everything except the
microphone. A blue bar on the bottom of the control panel will display the
volume level. The knob works best if turned slowly. For best results, volume
should be set about 50%, and the volumes on external devices, such as laptops
and iPods, should be set to at least 75%.
Control: This menu is used to control the
system and microphone volume.
to connect your laptop to the projection system?
are located on top of the teaching station. Computer and audio
cables are available. Press Guest Laptop button on the control panel. If no
image appears on the screen, press and hold the (windows) key while pressing the P key. Select Duplicate when prompted, the computer
image will appear.
to use the document camera and share to the projection system?
document camera is located on the top of the teaching station. Manually turn
document camera on. Press the document camera button on the control panel. Use the control panel to manage the document
camera’s focus, lighting, zoom, and contrast. To raise or lower the camera, use
the handle on the stand. If no image appears, manually turn the document camera
on or off. The camera is capable of displaying notes, articles, and objects.
to play a DVD to the class?
DVD player is located below. Manually turn DVD player on. Press DVD button
on control panel. There are additional
controls for DVD next to the control panel.
Optional DVD playback: Place DVD in computer
DVD drive and software should automatically open. If software or DVD does not
open, double click DVD Player on computer desktop. Press PC button on the
Want to play a CD to the class?
Insert up to six audio CD(s) into the CD player located below.
Use the control panel to select CD commands. When ejecting a CD, make sure that
the CD player is stopped and no discs are currently playing.
Want to play from an iPod?
Place device on the iDoc slot located below. Use controls
on the iDoc panel.
Want to show cable TV?
There are six preselected channels available. To select other
channels, use the control panel.
