Touch the control panel to begin.
Select video (with audio) or audio (only) for presentation format. Allow time for the projector to warm up.
The laptop is located on the podium. Manually turn the computer on/off with the power button. Log in using your BSU credentials. Press rack laptop button on the control panel to project the computer image. If no image appears on the screen, press and hold the (windows) key while pressing the P key. Select Duplicate when prompted, the computer image will appear.
Display Mute: Press this button to change display to black screen and mute audio from computer or DVD. The button will flash for a short time when selected. Press the button again to restore the image.
Audio Mute: Press this button to mute audio only from computer or DVD. If the audio mute button is blinking, press to hear audio.
Speech Mute: Press this button to mute audio from microphone only.
Auto Image: Press this button to correct or align the image on the screen.
Want to connect your laptop?
Cables are located on top of the teaching station. Computer and audio cables are available. Press guest laptop button on the control panel. If no image appears on the screen, press and hold the (windows) key while pressing the P key. Select Duplicate when prompted, the computer image will appear.
Want to play a DVD?
DVD player is located below. Manually turn DVD player on. Press DVD button on control panel. Additional DVD controls are also available on the control panel.
Optional DVD playback: Place DVD in computer DVD drive and software should automatically open. If software or disc does not open, double click DVD Player on computer desktop. Press podium laptop, guest laptop or HDMI on the control panel, depending on the cable used.
Want to play a CD?
CD player is located below. Manually turn CD player on. Press CD button on control panel. Additional CD controls are also available on the control panel.
Optional CD playback: Place CD in computer DVD drive and software should automatically open. Press podium laptop, guest laptop or HDMI on the control panel, depending on the cable used.
Press audio control button to adjust microphone and system audio. Please note that the microphone on the podium also has its own on/off switch at the base of the microphone. Use up/down podium arrows for podium microphone. Use up/down wireless arrows for wireless microphones. Use up/down program arrows for computer, DVD, or CD audio. Use up/down microphone arrows for additional wired microphones. Audio may also be adjusted by turning the black volume knob on the control panel for computer and DVD.
Want to play music?
Connect device to audio cable on podium labeled for iPod use. Adjust audio as indicated above. If iDoc slot is used, press iPod button on control panel.
To shut down, press system off then press the power down button.
