Want to use the teaching station computer?

Press ON button on the control panel. Allow time for projector to warm up.

The computer is located below. Manually turn the computer on/off with the power button. Log in using your BSU credentials. Press PC button on the control panel to project the computer image. If no image appears on the screen, press and hold the windows-7-logo-2009  (windows) key while pressing the P key. Select Duplicate when prompted, the computer image will appear.
PIC MUTE: Press this button to change display to black screen. The button will flash for a short time when selected. Press the button again to restore the image.
AUTO IMAGE: Press this button to correct or align the image on the screen for VGA signal only.

Want to connect your laptop to the projection system?

Computer and audio cables are located on top of the teaching station. Press laptop or HDMI button on the control panel, depending on cable used. If no image appears on the screen, press and hold the windows-7-logo-2009 (windows) key while pressing the P key.  Select Duplicate when prompted, the computer image will appear.

Want to use the document camera and share to the projection system?

The document camera is located on the top of the teaching station. Manually turn document camera on. Press the document camera button on the control panel. To raise or lower the camera, use the handle on the camera’s stand. Focus and zoom controls are located on the top of the document camera. The document camera can display notes, articles, and objects.

Want to play a DVD to the class?

DVD player is located below.  Manually turn DVD player on. Press DVD button on control panel.  There are additional controls for DVD next to the control panel.
Optional DVD playback: Place DVD in computer DVD drive and software should automatically open. If software or DVD does not open, double click DVD Player on computer desktop. Press PC button on the control panel. Closed captioning may be turned on by pushing the CC button on the control panel.

Make sure device has iOS7.1 or later installed and the Bluetooth setting is ON. (To turn Bluetooth on, swipe up from t he bottom of the home screen and make sure the Bluetooth symbol is highlighted in white.)

Verify the connection to the BSU WiFi by navigating to If you are unable to access the page, connect the iPad/iPhone in settings to the BSU_Wireless network and complete the network authentication using a browser (Safari) and your BSU credentials. Confirm connectivity by navigating to

Using the control panel located on the teaching station, turn on the display. When the ON button stops blinking, switch the source to iPad. The AppleTV menu or picture should be projecting.

On the bottom of the iPad/iPhone, navigate to the home screen by pressing the Home button. Once on the home screen, swipe up slowly from the very bottom bezel portion of the screen; this will drag the Control Center onto the screen.

Select AirPlay at the bottom of the menu and select the name of the room you are in. Switch the mirroring option so it is green. The iOS device will now prompt you for a code. This can be viewed on the projection wall screen and is a four digit code. (This code will be different each time.) Type the code into the iPad/iPhone and click OK.

Tap the Home button. The device will now be connected. If the four digit code disappears, hit cancel and repeat last steps above. When finished with AirPlay, disconnect the device by returning to the AirPlay menu, turning the green Mirror switch off and selecting iPad/iPhone.


Using audio?

Audio may be adjusted by turning the black volume knob on the control panel. The light will flash when volume is muted. Red lights indicate maximum volume.
