 Telephone Auto Attendant

Description:

A department auto attendant is a message played to the caller that allows the routing of calls to a specific extension or destination. For example, “press 1 for weather, pre​ss 2 for voice mail, etc.”​​​​

Service Details

How to Request this Service:

​Please e-mail itsupport@bridgew.edu if you wish to create an auto attendant for your department.
 
If you wish to change the message or key mappings of your department auto attendant please send an e-mail to ITSupport@bridgew.edu and include the exact way you want your message recorded. For example:
“Thank you for calling the Information Technology Division at Bridgewater State University. We are currently unable to take your call. Please select from the following options: Press 1 to use the directory using your telephone keypad,  press 2 to use the directory using voice recognition, or stay on the line to leave a detailed voice message.”
