Single Sign-On (SSO)

Single sign-on allows you to access certain BSU applications using your BSU username and password.  There is no need to remember multiple sets of credentials.  In addition, the frequency of logins is reduced allowing you to seamlessly access single sign-on applications without entering a username and password.

What is single sign-on?

Single sign-on allows you to access certain applications using a single set of credentials – your BSU username and password.  This is the same password used to access email or login to computers on campus.  After signing-in, you will be able to access all other single sign-on applications without having to enter a username and password.

What applications are available for single sign-on?

The following applications are currently available for single sign-on.  More are coming soon!

  • Web for Faculty
  • Travel & Expense

  • Banner Document Management System (BDMS)
Please note that the services above are the first to be included in single sign-on.  Many services, including the following, will continue to use the Banner ID and/or PIN:
  • Connect Card Flex Dollars
  • Registrar Grade Report
  • Student Accounts E-Bill
  • My Housing (room selection)
  • Housing Waiting List
  • My Parking

How long is my single sign-on session active for?

Your single Sign-on Session will remain active for 30 days after your initial login (make sure you check the Remember Me option).  You will be able to access any single sign-on application without having to enter your username and password.

I am no longer getting prompted to log in, is this normal?

Because the single sign-on session is active for 30 days after your initial login, you will be able to access any single sign-on application without having to enter your username and password during that time period. 

How do I log out of single sign-on?

To logout of single sign-on, go to

Why am I not able to log in using my Banner username and password?

Starting later this fall, you may access Banner and Web for Faculty using your BSU credentials using the links above.   If you prefer to log in the old way you can continue to do so using existing links.

Why am I unable to log in to Banner with my BSU credentials via my saved bookmark?

To log in to Banner using single sign-on, click the link above or bookmark to the following page: Be sure to delete or updated any existing bookmarks to the new URL. 

Which Banner environments (servers) are available for single sign-on?

The Banner production (BANP) and Banner Test (BANT) environments are available for single sign on.  The Banner Development (BAND) environment does not have single sign-on capability at this time. This functionality will be added in the future.
